2026 POINTS

All SUBMISSIONS MUST BE DONE THOUGH THE SHOWMAN APP

Point Classes

  • The HYSLC will offer the following divisions: WBI, Hampshire, Naturals, and Crossbred.

  • An exhibitor may show as many lambs as they wish per division. Points will be tallied only on the top-placing lambs in each respective division.

  • You can not double register a ewe as breeding and Market at any HYSLC Shows.

 

HOW POINTS ARE EARNED

  • Market Lamb Division-Points will be counted from the top two lambs exhibited per show, per exhibitor.

  • Commercial Ewe Division-Points will be counted from the top two lambs exhibited per show, per exhibitor.

  • Points will be accumulated based on how a lamb places in class, whether or not other lambs in the class are exhibited by HYSLC members.

  • Points will be tallied from an exhibitor’s top six (6) shows throughout the year.

  • The HYSLC Fall Futurity will count as double points and will be added in addition to the exhibitor’s six shows.

  • Points will only count after a member’s dues have been paid.

 
OVERALL PLACINGS

  • All sanctioned shows will select a Top 5 Overall Market Lamb and a Top 5 Overall Commercial Ewe.

  • The Top 5 Overall Market Lambs and Top 5 Overall Commercial Ewes will be selected from the top three lambs in each division only.

 

SANCTIONED SHOWS

HYSLC will sanction an unlimited number of shows.

 

TIEBREAKERS

Ties will be broken using the following criteria:

  • Total showmanship points

  • Total number of shows

 

DISCREPANCIES & PROTESTS

  • If a discrepancy occurs after a show submits points, members have two (2) weeks to notify the board.

  • If a discrepancy is filed after the two-week period, a $50 protest fee will be required.

  • Grand Champion Market Lamb – 7 points

  • Reserve Champion Market Lamb – 5 points

  • 3rd Overall Market Lamb – 3 points

  • 4th Overall Market Lamb – 2 points

  • 5th Overall Market Lamb – 1 point

  • Champion Crossbred- 4 points

  • Champion Hampshire-4 points

  • Champion Natural – 4 points

  • Champion WBI – 4 points

  • Reserve Crossbred- 3 points

  • Reserve Hampshire– 3 points

  • Reserve Natural– 3 points

  • Reserve WBI– 3 points

  • 1st – 10 points

  • 2nd – 9 points

  • 3rd – 8 points

  • 4th – 7 points

  • 5th – 6 points

  • 6th – 5 points
