2026 POINTS

All SUBMISSIONS MUST BE DONE THOUGH THE SHOWMAN APP

POINT CLASSES

  1. The HYSLC will offer the following divisions:

  2. Market Lamb – Points will be counted from the top 2 lambs exhibited per show per exhibitor in this division.

  3. Commercial Ewe Division – Points will be counted from the top lamb exhibited per show per exhibitor in this division.

  4. An exhibitor may show as many lambs as they wish per division. Points will only be tallied on the top placing lambs in each respective division.

  5. All sanctioned shows will place a Top 5 Overall Market Lamb and a Top 5 Overall Commercial Ewe.

  6. Top 5 Overall Market Lambs and Top 5 Overall Commercial Ewes will be selected from the TOP THREE lambs in each division only.

  7. Points will be accumulated on how a lamb places in class whether or not other lambs in the class are exhibited by HYSLC members.

  8. Points will be tallied from an exhibitor's top 6 shows throughout the year. HYSLC Fall Classic will count in to the top 6 shows and will count for double points.

  9. HYSLC Spring and Fall Futurity Shows will count as regular sanctioned point shows.

  10. Points will only count after the date that members’ dues are paid.

  11. HYSLC will sanction an unlimited number of shows.

  12. Tiebreakers will be based on total showmanship points, followed by total number of shows.

  13. If a discrepancy happens once a show has turned in its points, members have 2 WEEKS to address it with the board. If you file a discrepancy after the 2 week time frame from when the show submits its point you will pay a $50 protest fee.

        • Champion Crossbred- 4 points

        • Champion Hampshire-4 points

        • Champion Natural – 4 points

        • Champion WBI – 4 points

        • Reserve Crossbred- 3 points

        • Reserve Hampshire– 3 points

        • Reserve Natural– 3 points

        • Reserve WBI– 3 points

      • Class Points

        • 1st – 10 points

        • 2nd – 9 points

        • 3rd – 8 points

        • 4th – 7 points

        • 5th – 6 points

        • 6th – 5 points

        • 7th – 4 points

        • 8th – 3 points

        • 9th – 2 points

        • 10th and down – 1 point

  • Showmanship Points are awarded per division as follows.

    • 1st – 10 points

    • 2nd – 9 points

    • 7th – 4 points

    • 8th – 3 points

    • 9th – 2 points

    • 10th and down – 1 point
